When only requesting legal advice service one should communicate this to the lawyer ever since contact.

When asking for counsel one should present, if possible, all documents relating to the case. In this manner, the lawyer will better understand your state and therefore be able to provide suitable legal counsel.     

The lawyer's response may be offered in the same session or later, when the intricacy of the case requires verification of specific legislation, the study of  documentation provided by the client or the one in the possession of public institutions.
